Why Choose a Specialist?
Similar to specialties in medicine, such as dermatology & cardiology, mental health has
specialties as well.
Unlike general therapy, sometimes referred to as "talk therapy", the treatment methods we
offer require specific training and expertise. It can be difficult to find a therapist that
matches your treatment needs and is a good fit for you as an individual. We welcome the
opportunity to connect and explore if we are a good fit. For a 15 minute no-cost
consultation, please fill out the contact form, call, or email
us.
Areas of Specialization
OCD
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is not a funny way to describe your friend who loves to
clean or a
disorder all about hand washing. For many, it is a debilitating issue that is often
misunderstood, leaving the sufferer feeling alone. While we cannot promise you a cure, we
can
offer you hope and a better way of living through evidence-based treatments such as
Exposure and
Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT).
Sniff, blink, head jerk, humming. These are just a few of many different motor and vocal
tics.
Have you heard of CBIT (Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics)? CBIT is an
evidence-based treatment for tics and Tourette Syndrome and considered a front-line
treatment. There are less than 350 CBIT clinicians worldwide and we are lucky to have 8 of them.
Body focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), including hair pulling and skin picking are
more
common than you might imagine. ComB, Comprehensive Model for Behavioral Treatment, can
help you
or your child implement cognitive, behavioral, or environmental changes to increase
awareness,
reduce the behavior, stop fighting against the urge and create healthier patterns.
Anxiety is a normal human emotion. Anxiety, in and of itself, is not a problem. Yes, you
read
that correctly. Anxiety is not the problem, but it's our relationship with this emotion,
and the
thoughts and behaviors around it that cause us the biggest impact. If you experience Anxiety, Panic, or Specific Phobias,
you can
learn to navigate your anxiety like never before. It's time to take back your life.

The OCD Expert! In a very short amount of time Ashley has helped me make amazing progress with my OCD. OCD is different for every person, and Ashley was quick to understand the fundamental "rules" that were governing my behavior and how to overturn them quickly. She was always receptive to my feedback but made her expectations clear, pushing me every day to go just a little bit further than I would have been willing to go without her guidance. She has always been receptive to my questions and provided clear explanations for why she was setting me on a certain path. She has truly changed my life and I can't thank her enough.
